The Guardianship and Advocacy Commission has a myriad of volunteer opportunities available to people with all different types of experience levels. It is our goal to enlist volunteer services to support persons with disabilities in our own communities. Many of our regional offices need office support. That includes help answering telephones, filing, opening mail and with other administrative tasks. Our offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. We have locations throughout the state. Volunteers may donate as much time as they wish. This is great way to gain work experience. The Volunteer Visitor Program matches screened trained volunteers to our wards. Visit and advocate for appropriate services for a person in your own community! Gain experience in the social service field! A variety of field study programs are available through the IGAC click here to view program options. Are you interested in volunteering with the Human Rights Authority? This programmatic division enlists panels of volunteers to investigate alleged rights violations. Please Go to the Human Rights Authority section for more information.
